A week of Disney

We just got back.

• Monday - Left home around 930, stopped at Sun-Maid, then got to hotel around 6. Went to Dinner with Ryan and Alexa at Red Robin.
• Tuesday - Went to Disneyland and met up with Sindi's friend Amy and her son Ryne. Dinner at Tortilla Jo's in Downtown Disney.
• Wednesday - California Adventure. Girls went ice skating with Ryan and Alexa.

• Thursday - Magic Morning at Disney land so went in at 7. Spent most of day at California Adventure. Took Katya and Beena onto Tower of Terror which freaked both of them out. Sat in on Sorcerer's Workshop Drawing Workshop for three straight sessions. Drew Pluto, Grumpy and Jack Skellington. Left before Tigger. Saw World of Color at California Adventure (thanks to Amy for standing in line for fastpass)
  
• Friday - Heath and Marlene came down and joined us with Delilah (Marlene's granddaughter) and Isaac (her youngest son) and we spent the day at both parks. Split time with Hunter family that came for the day. Amish, Riddhi, Eshaan, and Sohil joined Heath, Marlene, and us for dinner.
  
• Saturday - Spent early part of day with Heath and Marlene before leaving parks for Medieval Times lunch show with Alexa and Ryan. Girls spent night with Alexa and Ryan while we went back to hotel to clean up and pack before leaving on Sunday.
• Sunday - went to breakfast at IHOP with Alexa and then stopped at Whimsic Alley (Harry Potter store) in LA on our way back to Northern California. Arrived back home around 815pm

Sabeena is 10!!!!

Sabeena had a day of celebrations.  She started the day off celebrating her birthday with her cousin Lakari who also turned 10!!!  They shared the celebration with friend and family at Mistlin Park in Ripon.

After these festivities we headed over to the Lowry's house to have dinner and celebrate Sabeena's birthday again with Papa Richard who was celebrating his also.

Lakari earns his Bear

Lakari earned his Bear patch for Boy Scouts.  We were able to attend the award ceremony.  It is customary for the Boy Scout to put the Bear pin onto their mom when it is received.  We had a lot of fun eating tin foil dinners and watching Lakari put up a tent in a race.

A Day with the Clark Family

We spent today with my friends Joy and Derek Clark.  The girls had a great time hanging out with them and their 3 boys (unfortunately their daughter was with grandma so we didn't get to see her).  Katya made a song with Derek, while Amani and I went to view the garden and shoot some hoops with Joy and the boys.

A Day in SF with Grandpa

We drove out to Daly City to pick up Ashi's dad and then headed to SF for lunch.  The girls always enjoy spending time with their Grandpa.  We went to the pier and wandered around the Farmer's Market, then we had lunch, then we looked at some of the stalls before heading home.

Visit with MacKenzie

After having lunch with MacKenzie yesterday we scheduled to meet up with her in Pleasanton and watch her soccer game and then hang out for the rest of the morning.

Katya got to spend some time with MacKenzie once we got back to the house, the game was too early for her liking.

Return from YW Camp

I forgot the camera on the morning the girls left for girl's camp, but remembered to bring it along for their return.  We were told the girls would be returning at 1:00 pm so we arrived to the church at 12:40 and grabbed a spot in the shade.  We were hoping to try and make it to UOP to hear Josh play in the recital for the Senior Band Camp.  at 1:30 the bus still had not arrived. At 2:05 the bus pulled into the lot and the gate had not be unlocked, luckily there was somebody there with a key to let them in.

It was like a pop star had just arrived as this empty parking lot quickly filled with waiting fans.

Through the mob it was difficult to find our 2 little stars, after a bit of hunting we were successful.

Guess we weren't aware that we were suppose to bring balloons.  Katya was so tired she wouldn't have noticed if we had anyway.  She said hello then walked straight to the car and tried to go back to sleep.  Amani thinking the bus had arrived on time shouted, "let's go, let's go, so we can make the concert."  I had to inform her they were over an hour late and that the concert would be over by the time we got there.  So we headed home and were surprised to get a call from MacKenzie so we headed out to have a late lunch with her, her mom and her aunt after all the camp grime had been washed away.

Sacramento Zoo

Amani, Katya and Latrell were at camp this week so we took Darian, his friend Kathy and the little ones to the Sacramento zoo.  Sabeena stole my camera so 90% of the photos taken were done so by her.  She had a little bit of a problem with the focus when shooting the animals in the cages, but got the hang of it by the end of the day.

Swim Lessons

July 12 - 22

For their 10th birthdays we got Lakari and Sabeena swim lessons.  They had a lot of fun with their teacher Ms. Marissa.  They asked her if she would come back next year so they could have lessons with her again.

Katya's 3rd Year at UOP Music Camp

July 12-17 Katya attended her 3rd year at UOP's music camp she always has a great time and at the end of the week we love to get family and friends together to watch her perform.  We always head to the ice creamery after the performance for a treat.

Our family loves the beauty of UOP and always love to grab a few photos while we are there.

Jelly Belly Factory

The girls wanted to take a tour of the Jelly Belly Factory, so we got the family together and headed out for the day.  There are lots of new flavors and you can go to the sample counter and try them all including baby wipes and boogers (Oh Yum!!!).  Camera was not allowed on the tour but we were able to take pictures around the facility before and after the tour.

That evening we met Hiren, Reetu and our friend Anh for dinner.

Ashi is 39!!

We went to IHOP for breakfast for Ashi's 39th birthday and then had friends and family over for cake and ice cream in the evening.

4th of July 2010

We had a good 4th of July in Lathrop with Family and Friends!!  Our court is a really awesome place to live.

Locks of Love

The girls all got haircuts today.  Sabeena donated her hair to Locks of Love.  She looks very different now.  I keep losing her when she is standing right next to me.
