Architecture Contest

Katya and Sabeena entered an Architecture for Kids Contest earlier this month. These are photos of them standing next to their entries. Here is the email we received today in regards to the Judging.

Hello everyone,

Many thanks for coming along to the Architecture Workshop we ran at the
Third Line recently, and for either helping or making so many fantastic
drawings. Bidoun would like to thank Sonia Brewin from START
(www.startworld.org) and Katrina Weber from the Third Line
(www.thethirdline.com) for all their help and enthusiasm.

Many of the drawings are going to be featured in the National THIS MONDAY
and also in Time Out Kids' December issue, so do keep a look out for those.

And the 'winners' will be featured in Bidoun's spring issue, out in the UAE
in January:

First place in the "Most More Taller" section: Bader Baroudi's Arbrata
First place in the "Best Chocolate Factory" section: William Heintz
First place in the "Best Mollusc House" section: Sabeena Anjali Sheth's
Octowarium
First place in the "Most Forward Thinking" section: Maxim Podgore's
Robo-Palm
First place in the "Best Use of Whiskers" section: Katya Mira Sheth's Tiger
Zoo

Special mention should also go to Charles Dib's Tower.

CONGRATULATIONS!

Halloween!!!!

There weren't as many trick-or-treaters this year or as many families participating in Halloween, but the girls still had a lot of fun. The parties that we attended were full of Halloween spirit and made Halloween all the better.
